Global Trainees
The Program’s Structure
The Tenaris Global Trainee Program is a combination of classroom training, e-learning courses and practical on-the-job experience. The two-year program gets off to a strong start with the month-long Induction Camp, bringing together the latest intake of Global Trainees. The four weeks are a great opportunity for networking, learning about the company’s fundamentals and how to work as a team.

Back from camp, the rest of the program is structured around the following main pillars – On-the-job experience, training packs and performance and follow-up.
• On-the-job training
Global Trainees are given real jobs with real challenges and real goals. You will be assigned two yearlong assignments in different Tenaris functional areas with specific responsibilities. This gives you the chance to get to know Tenaris and grants supervisors the opportunity to see you in action in more than one area.
For engineers, one assignment is the Mill Training, developed to provide a specialized introduction to the Tenaris industrial culture and to guarantee that all engineers in the company share a common level of knowledge.
• Training packs
The Training Packs give you an overview of the company, a glimpse at the nuts and bolts of working life at Tenaris. They consist of both classroom and e-learning courses and take you through industrial processes and company procedures as well as tackling more specialized issues. There is also a Management Pack that gives guidance for managing your own performance and a Personal Pack for catching up on specific skills such as IT and languages.
• Performance and follow-up
Feedback is a key element in the Global Trainee Program. Your supervisor and the Human Resources Department closely monitor and evaluate your performance based on goals set at the beginning of the program to provide you with the support and guidance you need.
Graduation from the GTP depends on successful completion of the assignments and the training packs, as well as approval from senior managers. Once you have graduated, you’ll be well on your way toward starting a career with Tenaris.
