| According with the
UNI5634/97 standard in civil and industrial installations, it
is necessary that the color of the pipe identifies the fluid carried.
Tenaris has created Dalmine Thermo ®:
steel pipe, coated with epoxy powder, which means no painting
on site by the installer and even easier and safer identification
of usage.
The coating is applied by fusing epoxy
powder onto the surface of the grit-blasted pipe, preheated to
about 200°C. The coating, with a minimum thickness of 50 microns,
gives a working temperature of between -30 to +110°C, and
has excellent adhesive properties and resistance to abrasion;
allowing bending with a standard portable tool, with a mandrel
having a minimum bending radius of 6 times the external diameter
of the pipe.
Fretz-Moon pipe, ranging from Ø
1/2" to Ø 3", seamless pipe up to 10" and
up to 4" for ERW pipes can be externally coated in epoxy
resin; easy to work and weld, they can be installed without any
preliminary surface treatment. Pipe coated in this manner is principally
used in general civil and industrial installations, fireproof
installations and natural gas distribution. It has excellent adhesive
properties and allows bending with a standard portable tool, with
a mandrel having a minimum bending radius of 6 times the external
diameter of the pipe.
