From tubes to components with excellent mechanical properties
Besides axles, airbag inflators and transmission parts, Tenaris manufactures seamless tubes for other automotive applications, such as constant velocity joint cages, half shafts, stabilizers and steering systems, and components such as side impact beams. This component can be supplied in different configurations according to each customer's design: tubes with formed ends and tubes with welded stamped plates.
Our seamless tubes for automotive applications are produced in various different steel grades in an extensive dimensional range, delivered as hot-rolled or cold-drawn and are subject to different heat treatments, such as normalizing, annealing, quenching and tempering, and stress relieving.
Thanks to our component centers in Argentina, Mexico and Romania, we can also perform added-value operations on the tubes such as cut-to-length, forming, and different types of machining and welding.
