An internal/external-upset connection used for workstrings and production tubing.

Special applications include highly deviated and extended reach wells, milling, jarring, fishing, drilling cement and diamond-coring operations.

Available in sizes from 2 3/8" to 4 1/2".

  • Exceptional torque strength developed through the simultaneous engagement of opposing flanks of the double hooked dovetail thread.
  • Streamlined clearance OD facilitates running, pulling, and circulating.
  • Trouble-free make-up is developed with the rugged, coarse pitch thread and steep taper for deep stabbing.
  • 100% ratings for tension and bending provided by machining pin and box on hot forged internal-external upsets. Reverse angle stab flank provides 100% compression ratings.
  • 100% pipe body internal yield and collapse strength created with the lubricant seal of the dovetail threads.
  • Wedge 531™ is interchangeable with Wedge 561™, Wedge 551™ and Wedge 501™.
