Transmission parts

Tenaris provides a wide variety of hot rolled seamless tubes for transmission parts, such as planetary gears used in automatic transmission systems and synchronizer rings, with outer diameter ranging from 48 to 254 millimetres and wall thickness from 8 to 50 millimetres. The “gear family” includes a wide range of parts designed in several and complex shapes.

During the steel making process Tenaris performs a tight control of chemical composition and realizes heat treatments during the manufacturing process providing the wear resistance to the final product. Furthermore steel cleanness helps obtaining an excellent contact fatigue resistance and, for those applications where is requested good machinability of final product, Tenaris controls sulfur content.
