Hollows for Gas Cylinders
Tenaris manufactures semi-finished seamless steel tubes used for the production of high-pressure gas cylinders. Chrome-Molybdenum or Carbon-Manganese seamless steel tubes can be supplied in hot rolled and cold drawn conditions, with a wide range of sizes - outer diameter from 108mm up to 610mm - and are characterized by high steel cleanliness, restricted chemical composition band, tight dimensional tolerances, and controlled surface quality, in order to assure the best performances in customer's manufacturing process.
Tenaris seamless tubes are currently used by the most important world-wide gas cylinder manufacturers for the most demanding applications such as Natural Gas Vehicle (NGV) cylinders, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) trailers, transportation and storage of compressed hydrogen, medical and technical gases, scuba diving, fire-extinguishers etc.
Using Tenaris seamless tubes, our customers are manufacturing gas cylinders according to the most important international standards such as ISO 9809, ISO 11439, ISO 11120, EN 1964, ECE R/110, DOT 3AA, DOT 3AAX and DOT 3T.
