Tenaris has established a corporate university, TenarisUniversity, to integrate, align and disseminate knowledge across the company.
TenarisUniversity’s core activity is training, with a variety of courses customized to fit the needs of employees at every stage of their careers. These courses mix e-learning and on-site classroom teaching with off-site training, through agreements with universities and providers. TenarisUniversity manages all Tenaris training programs, in all regions and for all employees regardless of their organizational level or specialization.
However, TenarisUniversity’s activities cover a broad range of activities that include knowledge management through the Tenaris Intranet, selecting employees to participate in external degree and non-degree programs, and coordinating all the Company’s initiatives in the field of education, such as projects that provide support to universities and students.
Steeluniversity.org
TenarisUniversity is responsible for coordinating Tenaris’s support for steeluniversity.org, the online learning portal developed by the International Iron and Steel Institute (IISI). Steeluniversity.org provides a comprehensive package of interactive, informative and innovative e-learning resources on steel technologies.
TenarisUniversity translates the training modules to Spanish, conducts demonstrations of the site for university professors and students, and organizes training activities for students built around Steeluniversity.org’s interactive simulations in steelmaking.
