For Tenaris, its distribution network is a fundamental asset

On the 18th June Tenaris met its Authorised Italian Distributors for mechanics in the setting of the Dalmine Foundation, to discuss together the development of the market for steel pipes over recent years and the structural changes that have occurred, especially in Italy.

 

In 2010 there has been a recovery in the steel market. The Chinese demand helps this development further with respect to the European market, which is growing more slowly. The recovery is underway in Europe, and for the latter part of the year there are expectations for greater acceleration and a consolidation of the growth that has been recorded in the last period.

 

To handle a complex market Tenaris focuses on reducing the risks by offering a complete range that is available in stock at its distributor’s warehouses in a very short space of time, by strengthening the customer service and training, to identify the best solution for the final use. “For Tenaris, its distribution network is a fundamental asset as it enables presenting the market with a quality range of complex mechanical applications and competitive lead times” Roberto Noseda, Industrial Products Manager in Italy explained. Among the future marketing initiatives with the distribution network, Tenaris has announced it will attend the Bimu trade fair in Milan from 5th to 9th October, displaying its range of materials for machine tool working.
