Description

BlueCoil® technology is a heat treated coiled tubing based on new steel designs never used before in the industry.

March 21, 2018

Tenaris will be exhibiting March 27-28 at the 2018 SPE/ICoTA Coiled Tubing and Well Intervention Conference at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention center in The Woodlands, Texas.

Located at booth 721, Tenaris experts will be presenting BlueCoil® technology, a heat treated coiled tubing that is designed to last two to four times longer than conventional coiled tubing. This unique technology is based on new steel designs never used before in the industry to produce coiled tubing that is stronger and more fatigue and environmentally resistant throughout its structure.

In 2017, a service company operating in the Permian Basin achieved a remarkable record of 2.2 million running feet with BlueCoil®, at 99% fatigue on their model. Read the full case study.

On Wednesday, March 28, the Tenaris coiled tubing technology team will present a paper titled “Laboratory and Field Performance of Mechanically Damaged New Technology Coiled Tubing” at 9:30 am.
