Project Scope

To evaluate the weldability of latest generation Tenaris LP, using different welding methods. Special focus is made on offshore methods, which are critical from the point of view of the resulting mechanical properties. To generate a Tenaris historical weldability database, available to customers through the internet.

Expected Outputs

A database of weldability tests which will include corrosion and CTOD testing. Improved knowledge on the response of Tenaris LP materials to different welding methods and predict possible results for future orders. Valuable information available to the customer through internet with the appropiate restrictions (Weldability Database).
