Power Generation

For the power generation industry, Tenaris supplies tubes in carbon and special alloy steel (9% Cr alloy steel), used for conventional fired boilers and combined cycle boilers (HRSG) with external diameters up to 711 mm, and a maximum length of 24 metres (for diameters up to 90 mm), as well as for heat exchangers, piping and other power plant apparatus able to withstand high temperatures and high pressures.

Tenaris is currently producing ASTM grades 91 and 92 tubular products used for the fabrication of boiler pressure parts working at temperatures up to 620°C. Additionally, for the fabrication of superheaters and reheaters, in the most advanced UltraSuperCritical USC) power plants working with steam temperatures above 600°C, we offer ASTM A213 S30434 and S30942 grades. All these steel grades have elevated creep resistance combined with good resistance to oxidation.
