Tenaris is committed to providing its employees with the training they need for their own professional development and to contribute fully to the Company's success. That commitment was demonstrated by the founding of TenarisUniversity in 2005 and Tenaris's continued emphasis on training despite the global economic downturn.

Training at Tenaris is intimately tied to the strategic needs of the company. It provides education opportunities to all employees, from entry level to senior management, no matter where they are located in the more than 25 countries where Tenaris has an industrial facility or office. Each job family has a training road map or curriculum which charts learning activities at the various stages of an individual's career. In addition, an employee, together with his or her supervisor, may choose elective courses particular to his or her job needs or personal growth. Career advancement and promotion is tied to training completion.

As in the case of a degree-granting university, our training is intended to do more than develop an employees' capacity to solve narrow technical problems. Instead it is intended to enable them to meet the challenges they face today and prepare them to assume positions of greater responsibility in the future.

With that goal in mind, we provide training that builds employees' functional competencies as well as their general management competencies. Training is developed through six Schools - Industrial, Commercial, Finance & Administration, Management, IT and Technical– and delivered via multiple venues and formats that include e-learning, classroom lectures, case studies, simulations and games. Most training is carried out regionally but in some cases, global events that bring together Tenaris employees from all over the world are held which provide a rich opportunity for the sharing of knowledge and experience and facilitate our efforts to build a unified corporate culture.

The challenges of providing training that satisfies employees' own expectations and that has a substantial and verifiable impact on the Company's performance are many. We at TenarisUniversity are here to meet those challenges, and we encourage you to learn more about us.

Cordially,

Horacio Bergero
