Made-in-Canada solutions for every stage in oil and gas operations

Tenaris has been an important player in Canada’s energy sector for 50 years with manufacturing facilities like AlgomaTubes and Prudential. With an annual production capacity of 650,000 tons seamless and electric resistance welded (ERW) tubes combined, we deliver a variety of Canadian-made products to serve the diverse needs of the oil and gas industry.

Our operations are strategically located across Canada to provide products and services directly to our customers. From manufacturing, threading and service operations in Calgary, Nisku, Fort McMurray and Grande Prairie, Alberta to Canada’s only seamless pipe facility in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario as well as a service center in St. John’s, Newfoundland—we provide complete pipe management services from mill to well through Rig Direct™.

Tenaris’s Rig Direct model in Canada combines a comprehensive product range with local manufacturing for a more efficient supply chain. Our technical assistance and field service support complement this supply chain to help our customers reduce total cost of ownership of OCTG, streamline processes, enhance safety and lower the environmental footprint.

At Tenaris, we aim for the highest standards of quality, health, safety and environment throughout all our operations. Tenaris’s field-proven tubular technologies adhere to these standards and are designed to perform in Canada’s remote environments and extreme conditions, including shale gas, tight oil, oil sands, Arctic and offshore.

Tenaris’s supply chain provides real value to Canada’s development of oil and gas resources. Canadian jobs in advanced manufacturing at our facilities and across our operations sustain a domestic manufacturing supply chain that supports lower global greenhouse gas emissions, world leading health, safety and environmental standards and security of supply.

We are proud to be an active member of the communities where we live and operate. In Canada, we provide educational opportunities for local youth to prepare them for technical careers in advanced manufacturing. Our ongoing investments include support for science fairs, robotics programs and post-secondary scholarships as well as the technical education centre and Tenaris Robotics Lab at Sault College.
