Technologies for high temperature and high pressure environments

A heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) is a heat exchanger, used in combined cycle power stations, which recovers heat from the exhaust hot gases coming from a gas turbine. It produces steam used to drive a steam turbine that generates electricity. Based on the flow of exhaust gases, HRSGs are categorized into vertical and horizontal types. In the horizontal type, exhaust gas flows horizontally over vertical tubes while in the vertical one, exhaust gas flows vertically over horizontal tubes.

Heat recovery steam generator tubes operate at high pressures and temperatures for long periods of time and must guarantee excellent creep, corrosion and steam oxidation resistance.

For this application, we produce a wide range of hot-rolled and cold-drawn carbon steel, low-alloy steel and high-alloy steel tubes, supplied with an outer diameter ranging from 12.7 mm to 120.65 mm, wall thicknesses from 1.24 mm to 17 mm and a maximum length of 26 meters.
