Technology and innovation

For more than 60 years Tenaris has been an important player in the oil and gas market in Argentina starting with the opening of the Siderca production center in Campana in 1954.

Today, Siderca possesses state-of-the-art technology and is considered one of the most efficient and integrated tubes mills worldwide. It has an annual production capacity of 900,000 tons of seamless tubes and delivers a wide range of products for the energy market, the automotive sector and for agro-industrial applications. More than 70% of its high value- added products are exported to other countries.

We also have welded steel tubes mills located in Valentín Alsina, Buenos Aires province, and Villa Constitución, Santa Fe province, with a joint annual production capacity of 430,000 tons. We provide sucker rods and accessories from our production centers in Villa Mercedes, San Luis province.

In order to meet the needs of our customers in Argentina, we have established regional service centers in Comodoro Rivadavia and Neuquén and stock centers in Mendoza, Río Gallegos and Las Heras. From these locations Tenaris makes just-in-time deliveries of tubes and installed columns in the oil fields.

Our R&D Center in Campana, located on the premises of the Siderca mill, is a key element in our worldwide R&D network, recognized both locally and internationally.
