The United States is the largest market for oil country tubular goods (OCTG) in the world and that’s why we have been developing and expanding our presence in the country over the past 15 years, from a single commercial office into a manufacturing hub for steel pipe production, from start to finish.
Guided by our long-term vision, we set a growth path in 2006 to expand our domestic industrial footprint, adding welded manufacturing capacity in the States, investing in premium connections technology to ensure we have a premium product portfolio that meets our customers’ varying needs, and building the world’s most technologically advanced seamless rolling mill in Bay City, Texas, built according to the most stringent environmental and safety standards. The seamless mill is the first US mill categorized as a minor source of emissions by the Environmental Protection Agency.
Our commitment to domestic manufacturing has not and will not waver. This has been reinforced by continuity of investments, more than $10B since 2006. We will continue to innovate and invest in products and services, in developing our team, and contribute to the sustainable development of our communities.
