The 2018 EPAC (Explorers and Producers Association of Canada) Awards took place at the Calgary Petroleum Club today to honour the achievements of Canada’s oil and gas producers. As a sponsor, Tenaris was proud to present Whitecap Resources Inc. with the award for Top Intermediate/Senior Producer.
“Over the last few years, entrepreneurial ingenuity has been vital as companies reimagine how to respond effectively to the changing market to make their mark and find success,” said Tenaris’s Canadian Planning Director Shellie Cunningham who presented the award. “Tenaris started with the same entrepreneurial spirit celebrated today, and it’s an honour to be here to recognize the incredible achievements of Canadian energy producers.”
Awards are presented to Canadian public or private companies in four categories: Top Private Emerging Producer (less than 10,000 boe/d), Top Publicly Traded Emerging Producer (less than 10,000 boe/d), Top Junior Producer (between 10,000 and 25,000 boe/d) and Top Intermediate/Senior Producer (more than 25,000 boe/d). Nominees in each category are judged based on financial and operating performance as well as corporate character including technical innovation, environmental stewardship, community engagement, and employee support (e.g., mentoring, further education, skill upgrading, etc.).
Over 200 Canadian oil and gas professionals attended the 2018 EPAC Awards ceremony. In addition to Whitecap, award recipients included Vesta for Top Private Emerging Producer, Yangarra for Top Publicly Traded Emerging Producer, and WestBrick for Top Junior Producer.
