The Rio Pipeline Conference & Exhibition, which runs September 3 – 5, will focus on efficiency, quality and safety in pipeline transportation. Experts from Brazil and other countries have gathered in Rio de Janeiro to share new technologies.
As a gold sponsor, Tenaris is participating in four technical panels and hosts a cocktail party. In addition, Idarilho Nascimento, Commercial Senior Director Brazil, will speak as part of a panel during the final session titled “Challenges and opportunity for the Brazilian pipeline market.”
“Tenaris has already been an important partner of the local line pipe market for many years. More recently, we have also participated in major international oil and gas projects. This shows that we are prepared to meet the demands of our industry," said Nascimento.
Most recently Tenaris played a major role in Zohr, the largest natural gas discovery in the Mediterranean, with 850 billion m³ of potential gas resources in the Egyptian Sea. The company delivered 316,000 tons of pipes manufactured between 2017 and 2018 at its Confab mill in Pindamonhangaba-SP, Brazil, the largest offshore project in its history.
The next international challenge is the Alen Gas Monetization project for natural gas exploration in Equatorial Guinea, with the production of 20,000 tons of concrete-lined pipes for Noble Energy – an independent U.S. oil and natural gas exploration and production company. The pipes will also be produced at our mill in Brazil.
