TenarisSaudiSteelPipes has been awarded “Highest overall IKTVA performance” for the Manufacturing sector, during the IKTVA 2020 forum held in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
HRH Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, governor of the eastern province, presented the award to Paolo Rocca, Tenaris Chairman and CEO. Present on stage was HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Kingdom’s Minister of Energy, Mr. Amin Nasser, Saudi Aramco’s CEO and other senior executives.
IKTVA stands for “In-Kingdom Total Value Add” program. Launched by Saudi Aramco in 2015, it has become one of the country’s most important and strategic programs to drive increased levels of localization in its supply chain and further develop the energy sector. This award highlights that Tenaris’s strategy and actions are aligned with the expectations and vision of its main stakeholder in the Kingdom, Saudi Aramco.
Saudi Aramco suppliers can look into maximizing localization through investments, procurement of local goods and services, hiring and training of Saudi manpower, supplier development and exports from the Kingdom. Tenaris has been pursuing all of these initiatives, particularly following the integration of Saudi Steel Pipes in January 2019.
In addition to the award, TenarisSaudiSteelPipes’s team was present at the 2020 IKTVA forum with a booth, promoting the company’s story of local growth, its complete offer in tubular products and services for the Kingdom and the entire region, and its vision to become the largest steel pipes manufacturer in Saudi Arabia.
