Tenaris closes several Texas facilities due to Hurricane Harvey

All Tenaris operations in Houston, Freeport and Bay City, Texas, are currently closed as devastating flooding and rain continues throughout south Texas. Tenaris has asked all employees to take precautions and remain off the road until the inclement weather from Hurricane Harvey subsides and local authorities declare the roadways safe.

In anticipation of the arrival of Hurricane Harvey, Tenaris closed all activity at its seamless pipe mill in Bay City, Texas, including its administrative offices, on Friday, August 25. Matagorda County is under a mandatory evacuation. Tenaris has contacted its employees residing in the area to ensure they received the alert and adhered to the evacuation order.

The company's service center in Midland, Texas, which has not been impacted by Harvey, is operating as normal.

Tenaris continues to monitor the impact of the storm and will reopen activities once it is safe to do so. For updates, please follow Tenaris's TenarisBayCity and Tenaris in Texas Facebook pages.
