2023 marks the 20th anniversary of Tenaris’s Global Trainee Program (GTP), launched as a way to recruit and develop young talent, providing them with a comprehensive training program and valuable work experience.

“Over the past 20 years, the GTP has become one of the most prestigious young professionals’ programs in the industry, attracting top graduates from universities around the globe,” says Luis Scartascini, Chief Human Resources Officer. This intensive two-year program offers GTs a unique opportunity to work on challenging projects, allowing them to gain exposure to the different stages of the production process as well as to a wide range of cultures and work environments. In addition to technical training, the GTP also focuses on developing leadership and interpersonal skills, providing employees with the necessary tools to manage challenging projects.

To date, the GTP has trained over 4,800 young professionals, many of whom have gone on to leadership positions within Tenaris. The program has also played a critical role in driving innovation at Tenaris, with young professionals contributing to the development of new products and processes that have helped the company stay ahead of the competition.

With a renewed focus on sustainability and digitalization, looking ahead, the GTP will continue its role in shaping the future of Tenaris.
