Tenaris was present at the Asia Pacific Energy Capital Assembly 2025, a major industry event this week in Singapore. The two-day forum brought together over 500 executives and energy leaders to shape the region’s energy future. Discussions focused on innovation, energy security, and sustainable transition, providing a platform for strategic dialogue and collaboration across the energy supply chain.
Liu Jinghua Philix, Tenaris Managing Director for Asia Pacific, moderated the panel “Navigating Transformation: Strategic Solutions for APAC’s Leading E&Ps,” featuring senior executives from major E&Ps in the region: Nurunnajwa Bt Mohd Aras, Senior General Manager at Petronas; Toriq Abdat, Vice President of Upstream Business Development at Pertamina; Charles Fernandes, SVP of Exploration & Production Asia Pacific at TotalEnergies; Roberto Lorato, CEO of MedcoEnergi; and Rui Soares, President of TIMOR GAP.
The panel explored the evolution of the energy transition in Asia Pacific, focusing on balancing a reliable oil and gas supply with decarbonization goals. Key themes included cost efficiency, portfolio diversification through renewables and carbon capture and storage (CCS), digital innovation, and strong ESG commitments. Speakers emphasized the role of collaboration and technology as critical enablers to sustainably meeting the rising energy demand while supporting the region’s economic growth and climate objectives.
“Our industry is clearly undergoing a transformation, with the APAC region playing a pivotal role,” said Philix during the closing. “Whether through strategic M&As, expanding on partnerships, or pioneering transition technologies such as CCS, this change demands vision and collaboration from all of us.”
