Tenaris awards more than $360,000 in Roberto Rocca scholarships to US high school seniors

Tenaris has awarded 78 graduating high school seniors across the US with Roberto Rocca scholarships, totaling more than $360,000 USD. The students represented communities across Texas, Arkansas, Pennsylvania, and Oklahoma where Tenaris has an industrial presence, part of the company’s long-standing commitment to education.

The Roberto Rocca Scholarship Program, celebrating its 13th year in Texas and 12th in Arkansas, recognizes outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to community among local high school seniors.

In Matagorda County, home to Tenaris’s state-of-the-art seamless facility, 15 high school seniors received a total of $204,000 USD. Makayla Alford from Van Vleck High School, was recognized as the 2026 Student of the Year and was awarded a $60,000 USD scholarship.

“We hope these scholarships not only help you pursue your degree but also encourage you to return and help us strengthen Matagorda County,” said Guillermo Moreno, Tenaris U.S. President during the ceremony in Bay City, Texas. “There is a space for you here at Tenaris or one of the other industries in the area. We’re working to define the future of manufacturing, something we hope to pass on to smart, motivated young professionals like you.”

Six $20,000 USD Merit Awards were also presented to students pursuing STEM degrees, as well as eight runners up, who each received $3,000 USD.
