Tenaris will showcase its portfolio of high-pressure solutions, THera® , at the Hydrogen Expo. Tenaris
Tenaris will participate in the Hydrogen Technology Expo, taking place in Hamburg, Germany, on October 20–22. At booth 6M54, hall 6, the company will showcase THera®, its portfolio of high-pressure solutions for hydrogen storage and transportation.
THera® leverages more than 100 years of gas cylinder manufacturing at Tenaris’s Dalmine mill in Italy, where production began in 1917. Tenaris controls the entire production process in Europe, from steel casting and tube rolling to the finished pressure vessel. This vertically integrated model ensures consistent quality, full material traceability and supply reliability at scale.
THera® portfolio includes high-pressure storage vessels, ranging from individual units to modular multi-vessel racks, as well as modular linear systems for large volumes of compressed hydrogen. It is complemented by tube trailers, line pipe for hydrogen transportation, and tubulars and accessories for underground storage.
“Every hydrogen project is different, from operating conditions to storage volumes and available space, so we engineer each THera® solution around the specific requirements of our customers,” commented Gianluca Scabbia, Commercial Director for Power Generation and Gas Cylinders. “Developed with proprietary material technology for hydrogen service and a safety-by-design approach, our solutions are already in operation worldwide.”
As part of the conference program, Maurizio Bellingardi, Tenaris Senior Product Manager, Hydrogen Technology Industrial Applications, will deliver the presentation “There Is No One-Size-Fits-All Hydrogen Storage Solution: Matching Technology to Application Requirements” on October 20 at 2:55 pm, on the Hydrogen Stage sponsored by W.L. Gore. The session will examine how storage technology should be selected according to the operating conditions of each application, and how scalability, modularity and lifecycle considerations contribute to project performance and economics.
