Tenaris to present artificial lift solutions at 2026 SWPSC

As rod lift systems are deployed in deeper wells and more aggressive environments, operators face increasing complexity in maintaining consistent performance. Higher loads, deeper pump settings and harsher conditions can lead to issues such as rod and tubing wear, bending fatigue, corrosion fatigue and connection reliability challenges. At the same time, development strategies are accelerating the transition to rod lift while requiring compatibility with both large long-stroke units and mid-size pumping units.

Tenaris experts will share insights on how the company is addressing these growing technical demands through its portfolio of rod lift solutions at the Southwestern Petroleum Short Course 2026, taking place April 21–23 in Lubbock, Texas.

At Booth 39–40, Tenaris will showcase technologies and engineering capabilities focused on enhancing reliability, extending equipment life and supporting higher production rates in challenging well conditions.

During the event, Francisco More, Jordan Anderson, Ricardo Pulido and Esteban Oliva will deliver a technical presentation titled “Engineering a portfolio of solutions to expand the application envelope and address reliability challenges in modern rod lift operations.” The session will take place in Room 106 on Wednesday, April 22, from 10:00 to 10:50 a.m., and again on Thursday, April 23, from 3:00 to 3:50 p.m.

Tenaris specialists will present insights from the company’s development program launched in 2016 to address the evolving demands of rod lift operations. The program has progressed from initial proof-of-concept designs to full system integration by 2024, supported by field validation across a range of operating environments. Results have demonstrated measurable improvements in runtime, reliability and production capacity.
