Customers and Tenaris employees joined in Abu Dhabi to celebrate the opening of a new 33,000 sqm service center. The new facility has a 25,000 sqm storage area that can house just under 10 kilotons of product and a dedicated inspection line that can process more than 150 connections per day.

Renwar Berzinji, Vice President of Commercial, Middle East, welcomed attendees with a speech underscoring Tenaris’s commitment to provide professional services to customers, take ownership of the entire supply chain process, and ensure that pipes are delivered to the rig site ready to run. “This is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to deploying Rig Direct®.” said Berzinji.
Rig Direct® is a service model that Tenaris uses to provide OCTG products and services to customers directly from mill to rig.
Visitors were taken on a tour of the inspection process and preparation activities, and given an opportunity to experiment with PipeTracer™, a tool that uses codes to provide customized and updated data on each pipe, eliminating the need for manual tallying and status reports.
