Tenaris’s technical sales team in Norway is shifting the format of its technical forum, hosting online sessions for a major oil and gas customer with operations in the North Sea due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Through its technical forums, which are typically held in-person, Tenaris provides customers the opportunity to dive deep into the technical aspects of its extensive portfolio of products and solutions, and their performance.
The first session of the three-part module was held June 25, offering an in-depth presentation of Tenaris’s premium connections, highlighting their basic characteristics and design concepts.
Around 15 participants, including drilling and completions engineers, took part with the aim of increasing their knowledge about Tenaris connections, understanding the technical differences between the various types of connections, and their practical application in oil and gas operations.
“In the next session, we will speak about Tenaris’s suitable connections for offshore operations in the North Sea, examples of connection failures related to collapse, galling and jump-out, and Full-Scale Testing (FST),” says Aitken Mitchell, Technical Sales Engineer.
