As communities around the world take actions and adapt to respond to the global pandemic, Tenaris is reaching out to its partner communities across the United States to understand needs and help provide support to ongoing response efforts.
Tenaris will be giving a financial contribution to the city of Houston and Matagorda County in Texas to help with their respective emergency response to the healthcare crisis. Tenaris’s North American headquarters is based in Houston, where it also has manufacturing facilities. Matagorda County is home to Tenaris’s seamless pipe mill in Bay City, Texas.
“These are our communities, and as partners, we are committed to the health and well-being of our employees, their families and our neighbors,” said Luca Zanotti, Tenaris US President. “With this contribution, we hope to make a positive impact to ongoing response efforts.”
Tenaris is committing $150,000, to Houston and Matagorda County, and has already delivered 3,000 N95 and surgical facemasks to a senior living facility in Houston, to Matagorda County and the city of Bay City, Texas, for frontline personnel, and also to a hospital in Blytheville, Arkansas, where Tenaris has welded pipe-manufacturing operations.
“Your generous donations bring peace of mind as our dedicated employees focus on serving our residents every day. Thank you,” shared Richard Graciano, Programming Coordinator at the Brookdale Senior Living in Houston, Texas.
Cheri Blurton, HR director with the Great River Medical Center in Arkansas said the team is also grateful for the delivery of the protective masks. “They will help to build our supplies as we continue to plan and serve residents in Mississippi County during the COVID19 crisis.”
