Tenaris has announced the construction of a new service center in Northeastern British Columbia, Canada. The facility will support drilling operations of key oil and gas customers in the Montney formation.
The company has entered into a definitive agreement to purchase nine acres of land for the construction of the service centre that will expand Tenaris’s storage capacity by 7,000 tons by the end of 2025. The transaction is subject to customary conditions and expected to close in the month of July.
The new location will expand Tenaris’s industrial footprint in Canada, which includes the industrial center in Sault Ste. Marie, with an annual production capacity of 620,000 tons of seamless and welded steel pipes; an OCTG finishing and threading facility in Nisku, Alberta; and coating facilities in Camrose and Edmonton, Alberta.
The center in British Columbia will be the company’s third in the country, joining existing sites in Grande Prairie and Sherwood Park, Alberta.
“Establishing our service center in Northeastern British Columbia underscores our commitment to being closer to our customers in the region.
