At the beginning of June, representatives from PETRONAS Canada (Petronas) became the first customers to visit Tenaris’s Fort St. John Service Centre since opening at the end of 2025.
The Fort St. John Service Centre, Tenaris’s third in Canada after Grande Prairie and Edmonton, Alberta, was purpose built to serve a key group of anchor customers active in the Montney formation. Petronas, who signed a three-year supply agreement with Tenaris, is among the operators the facility was designed to support.
The visit included a full yard orientation and tour, followed by an introduction to the Rig Direct® service model and inventory management tools like the PipeTracer® identification system, that ensures pipe-by-pipe traceability from the mill to the well.
Pablo Toy, Commercial Vice President in Canada remarked on the milestone visit and reflected on continuing to build even stronger relationships with customers in the region. “Our investments are driven by customer needs. The Fort St. John service centre is more than an investment in infrastructure and storage capacity. By establishing a presence in Fort St. John, we are improving how we support their operations – with more efficient, reliable supply solutions. This first visit from the Petronas team reflects the kind of partnership we had in mind when we committed to building here, alongside the broader community.”
