After multiple phases of yard expansions and operational enhancements, Tenaris announced it would construct a new office building for the over 200 employees onsite, a $12 million USD investment in the company’s largest service hub worldwide. Core to the company’s Rig Direct® integrated service model, the Midland Service Center currently dispatches more than 70,000 tons of casing per month to customers in the Permian Basin and is a dispatch center for field and trucking services.
“2026 marks the 10th anniversary of the service center, so it’s a timely and well-deserved update for the team and facility,” Guillermo Moreno, Tenaris US President, said. “Investments like this and the rail spur, a total investment of nearly $25 million USD, will help us bring an even higher quality of service to our strategic customers in the region. We’re committed to growing even stronger roots here as supplier, service provider, employer and community partner.”
The new offices will align with the company’s New Way of Working (NWOW) campaign, featuring open, modern, and collaborative spaces, like those at the company’s Koppel steelmaking and McCarty threading facilities. The renovation will increase the office footprint, which will span over 17,000 square feet, combining functionality with contemporary aesthetics to match the surrounding Texan landscape.

Other key improvements will include an expanded parking lot for 190 vehicles, new locker room facilities for employees, and a community patio area for meetings and barbecuing. The vehicle maintenance building will also be relocated to streamline the supply chain process.
Construction on critical infrastructure development is tentatively scheduled to start in the coming weeks. The rail spur , a railroad section that will connect to the Union Pacific railway and into the service center, is a $12.5 million USD investment and will make transporting and unloading pipe safer and more efficient.
Through these continuous operational improvements, the service center will be able to move more product into the region and better support customer activity through the company’s Rig Direct® distribution and service model.
