Tenaris has recently secured its first Long-Term Agreement with Chrysaor, an independent oil and gas producer in the North Sea, for the provision of OCTG casing and tubing and associated services. The 3-year contract includes Rig Direct®, a unique service model that includes a wide array of expert services that support customers in every stage of their operations, from string design to running assistance onsite.
Chrysaor became the leading independent oil & gas producer in the UK, after purchasing ex-BG assets from Shell in January 2017. Chrysaor currently operates 3 offshore fields in the UK North Sea: Everest, Armada and Lomond.
Tenaris will provide conductor and all OCTG products, including casing and tubing with TenarisHydril Blue® connections.With a 100% fully tested pipe body rated seal, excellent overtorque capacity and the versatility to perform in all environments, this premium connection has been proven extensively in the most complex operating conditions around the world for more than ten years. The connections will come with Dopeless® technology, a dry multifunctional coating that is applied in a fully automatic process at Tenaris mills and makes thread compounds obsolete.
As part of Rig Direct®, Chrysaor will receive pipe management services such as DemandSync™, net invoicing, inventory management and PipeTracer™. These services will be performed at Tenaris’ new state-of-the-art service centre in Aberdeen, which was inaugurated in September 2017. The 32,000 square meters facility operates under the most stringent QHSE standards and has a 18,000 tons pipe storage capacity. It also includes an inspection and cleaning facility to provide a full suite of Run Ready and inventory management services.
In addition to the pipe management services, Tenaris will also provide a team of certified field service specialists to ensure the correct practices are followed and the products are properly installed at the rig site.
