After a successful trial implemented in seven wells with two different drilling rigs at the San Jorge Gulf Basin, Argentina, an oil and gas operator chose PipeTracer® technology for its entire drilling operations in the area.
PipeTracer® technology is a unique tracking and traceability mobile application that allows operators to identify Tenaris products on-site in real time, improving accuracy, streamlining operations and increasing safety through less pipe handling.
During the testing phase, the customer asked to extend the implementation trials of PipeTracer® technology to the completion stage and to tubing. Tenaris was able to adapt its manufacturing process at its seamless mill in Argentina to effectively fulfill this request.
