When Harrison Andrews Vadukkoot took on the role of inspection line manager in the UAE, after four years as a field service representative, he stepped into a small inspection yard and the challenge of launching a new inventory management service for a key customer.
Fast forward a few years, and that early beginning has transformed into something remarkable. By March 2025, the team had inspected over one million joints. What started with a single inspection line grew into four full inspection lines, operating in two shifts and processing nearly 39,000 joints each month. “It wasn’t about chasing a number. But the number came because we were doing the right thing,” Vadukkoot says.
Meeting that milestone was no easy task. With a focus on trust and efficient collaboration, Vadukkoot and his team successfully redesigned shift structures and introduced changes to streamline operations. “The team never set a foot back,” he shares. “They met every demand head-on, always with a positive attitude. That’s what kept us going.”
Mentorship also played a key role. Guidance from more senior colleagues helped the team navigate gaps and encouraged them to think analytically—meeting both budget and efficiency targets.
Now, with his role expanded to include operations in addition to inspection, Vadukkoot sees another chapter unfolding. As warehouse and inspection line manager, he takes great satisfaction in the value his team delivers to Tenaris customers: “It’s more than inspection. We’ve built a service our customer truly trusts. We innovate, we adapt, we deliver. That’s what makes the difference.”
When asked what he’s most proud of, Vadukkoot reflects on his personal growth: “Before Tenaris, I’d never led a team. Today, I’m managing people, launching new services, leading projects. That journey, from being a field service representative to this, means everything.”
