More than 500 people gathered in Campana to celebrate the 20th edition of the Latin American Film Festival organized by Tenaris and Fundación PROA, marking two decades of bringing regional cinema to the local community.
This anniversary edition featured two acclaimed Argentine films. Empieza el baile opened the festival on Friday, followed on Saturday by Mazel Tov, one of Argentina’s most popular films of last year. Actress and singer Natalie Pérez, one of the film’s protagonists, joined the audience for the second screening, adding a special touch to the celebration.
For 20 uninterrupted years, the festival has created a space where culture connects Tenaris with its neighbors in Campana and Zárate, home to Siderca, Tenaris’s seamless steel pipe production center in Argentina.
Held in a drive-in and open-air format that has become part of its identity, the event combines cinema, community gathering and accessible cultural programming in a unique setting.
Over the years, the Latin American Film Festival has showcased internationally recognized films acclaimed by critics and audiences alike. Each year, the festival begins in Campana and continues in San Nicolás, Argentina; Monterrey, Mexico; Houston, US; and Călărași, Romania, communities where Tenaris and other Techint Group companies operate. Through this initiative, the company promotes culture and strengthens its long-term connection with the communities where it has a presence.
