Tenaris has once again been recognized as a worldsteel Sustainability Champion, marking nine consecutive years receiving this distinction. It reflects the consistent work across its operations to keep improving the way steel is produced in accordance with the highest standards.
The worldsteel Sustainability Champion program recognizes steel companies that demonstrate outstanding performance across a comprehensive set of sustainability actions and indicators, including environmental, health and safety, social, governance and economic aspects. To qualify, companies must also reaffirm their commitment to the worldsteel Sustainability Charter.
Over the past year, Tenaris has continued to advance initiatives across its industrial system aimed at improving operational efficiency, reducing emissions and increasing the use of renewable energy. These efforts are aligned with the company’s sustainability values and strategy, including the target to reduce its CO2 emissions intensity by 30% by 2030.
With this recognition, Tenaris is once again part of a select group of global steelmakers recognized by worldsteel for their sustainability performance. Ternium is also among this year’s Sustainability Champions.
