Tenaris and Pertamina recently hosted an innovation drilling technology talk, focusing on carbon capture & storage (CCS) in Jakarta, Indonesia. The workshop attracted around 270 participants from the national oil and gas company, connecting both online and in person.
When Diego Magallanes made it back home to the province of San Luis, Argentina, in 2005, following a summer internship at Tenaris’ Siderca plant in Buenos Aires, he did not imagine he was going to be called back so soon. With a degree in mechanical engineering, Magallanes was invited back in 2006 to join the company’s welded pipe plant in Valentín Alsina. This marked the start of his big journey at Tenaris.
Petrobras has awarded Tenaris a four-year contract for the supply of a comprehensive package of products and services for its flagship Buzios deepwater project. Located in the Pre-salt Santos Basin, Buzios is among the largest deepwater oil and gas fields in the world.
Raíssa Silva Hardt, Tenaris technical sales engineer in Brazil, is a firm believer that “when you know the time is right, you have to make things happen.” This carpe diem approach has guided her journey at Tenaris from the beginning in 2015, filling her days with on-site projects and extensive training experiences, both in Brazil and abroad. “Between customer meetings and trainings, I’ve spent more than six weeks traveling for work, just during this first semester. It’s a busy life, but a fulfilling one with learning opportunities,” she claims.
