Tenaris experts offered a rig demonstration of premium products in the city of Villavicencio, Colombia from November 28 – 30. Production and drilling engineers from important companies such as Ecopetrol, Oxy Colombia, Canacol, Gran Tierra Energy and Geopark witnessed first-hand how premium product technology is used in real-life conditions and their performance.
Among the products at the demo were the TXP® Buttress 1.2, TenarisHydril Wedge XP® 2.0 and TenarisHydril Wedge 523® connections, along with Dopeless® technology, slotted pipes, internal linings, TenCoat Liner HDPE and external coatings. The activity took place under highly demanding test conditions and in accordance with each customer’s need.
Many Tenaris specialists were present onsite to answer questions and offer in-depth knowledge of the products.
"We had the opportunity to verify the characteristics of the connections, being able to directly check their quality and see how they work. The product demonstration was very interesting (mostly for high torque environments), as these are a good fit with our requirements. Karim Azar, Technical Sales Manager for Colombia, Central America & The Caribbean, highlighted the relevance of this event for the region. “Attendance was outstanding. They showed their interest in our products and voiced their overall satisfaction with the event,” he said.
Patricia Barragán, Tenaris Technical Sales senior Manager, explained that this type of event helps customers make better decisions about the right products for their technical needs. Fabian Benedetto, Tenaris Technical Sales Regional Director, highlighted that customers "were satisfied with the response of our products offered in Colombia."
